Parametric modelling in Grasshopper is fun - as long as the models stay neat and small. But who has ever searched desperately for the right branch in a forest of complex data-trees? After digging into the topic for more than 15 years, we at Design-to-Production decided it is time to share our approach to Parametric Modelling with the world, both as a brief Modelling Guideline and as a set of Grasshopper Components helping you to adhere to it.

Especially when following a multi-scalar modelling approach ranging from undetailed (but precise) reference models to highly detailed fabrication models, these components will help you to drastically reduce re-computations in Grasshopper while at the same time ensuring a consistent structure to your object and layer tree.
