The Grasshopper-LIRA-FEM Live Link allows you to convert a Rhino model into design model for Finite Element Analysis in LIRA-FEM. You can also perform Analysis & Design of RC, Steel and Masonry Structures.

Grasshopper-LIRA-FEM Live Link hosts structural nodes such as beams, walls, columns, slabs and so on within Rhino and allows them to be created and modified like any other data type. The link works through direct integration Rhino – Grasshopper – LIRA-FEM. Changes in Rhino model leads to changes in LIRA-FEM model.

Features:
- Draw structural elements (beams, walls, slabs, columns etc.) within Rhino, alongside the architectural geometry;
- Create and apply structural properties easily and quickly via LIRA-SAPR properties dialog box inside Grasshopper;
- Specify analysis loads on slabs inside Rhino/Grasshopper;
- Maintains a persistant link to parametrically-created geometry in LIRA-FEM

The Grasshopper - LIRA-FEM Live Link installs to the Components Folders in Grasshopper and requires Rhino, Grasshopper and LIRA-FEM installed on the same machine.

You can try out LIRA-FEM and the Grasshopper-LIRA-FEM Live Link for free through LIRA-SAPR Demo. In this case it is necessary to use Grasshopper-LIRA-FEM Live Link 2022 file. The version of plugin should correspond to LIRA-FEM version (Grasshopper - LIRA-FEM Live Link 2024 - LIRA-FEM 2024, Grasshopper - LIRA-SAPR Live Link 2022 - LIRA-SAPR 2022, Grasshopper - LIRA-SAPR Live Link 2021 - LIRA-SAPR 2021)
